Halo 4 Dedicated Servers

What halo 4 needs is dedicated servers. It prevents host switches laggy games etc.

Just to set an example Gears of war 3 has now introduced dedicated servers which helped a lot with the host advantage. (and the host always won in GOW 2 and GOW 1).

Anyone agree?

I agree gears of war 2 was crap because of host advantage, why people can tank shots, i could be point blank and shoot them and they turn around without any DAMAGE, and kill me easily, and it appears i am not lagging, it sucked. Dedicated servers need to be introduced, but only if you have all the mappacks. Will even out the playing field for the enemy team yourself and your team, no more unbalance there.

The same with Gears of war 3. If you have all the map packs you can play on dedicated servers if you do not have those you will have to play on hosted servers. Although they have just released 1 playlist called No DLC TDM in which you do not need the DLC but you can still play on a dedicated server.

Would like this in halo 4 too.

Yep, dedicated servers should be 343i's next step forward on the Halo franchise. The only foreseeable problem with dedicated servers are more fees to play matchmaking. Like Battlefield 3 for example, they have introduced an "online pass", which is an extra ten dollar fee, so that they can maintain their servers.

But if you buy the game new, you got the online pass with your purchase. It was only $10 if you bought the game used.
