On Sunday, legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady canceled his plans to retire and announced he is coming back to play with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for his 23rd season in the league.

The Madden NFL Twitter account reacted to the news with a picture of a goat in a Bucs jersey, and a a double-attributed quote, "'I'm back. - Michael Jordan' - Tom Brady." Brady was on the cover of Madden NFL 22, alongside Patrick Mahomes.

Jordan, a legend in the NBA world, announced his own unretirement in March 1995 through a fax message that ended with, "I'm back."

Tom Brady was, statistically speaking, the best QB in the NFL last season, so his decision to retire after the end of the season was a surprise to some. Brady announced on Sunday, March 13, that he would return, saying he came to realize that, "My place is still on the field and not in the stands."

"Unfinished business LFG," Brady said. Bucs management said Brady continues to play at an "elite" level and that the team is excited for him to return as they chase another championship after Brady helped the team win Super Bowl LV after his first season outside New England.

As for the Madden series, the next entry in the series is expected to debut around August 2022, synced with the start of the next NFL season.

Although Brady has now unretired and is coming back, you can still check out GameSpot's rundown of Brady's career in video games, as told by his OVR. You can also look through the gallery below to see how Brady's character model in the Madden series has improved over the years.
