343iBot
A classic historical strategy game is moving to a new theater of war, as Sega has announced Total War: Medieval II will be coming to mobile devices on April 7. The game will be ported from the PC to mobile devices "without compromise," according to the press release, with features including 17 playable factions, real-time battles with authentic medieval weapons, and a full slate of strategic features like settlement management, forging alliances, and a massive map spanning Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East playing host to all of the action. The game will also include touch controls and a brand-new interface made for mobile devices, allowing players to control each battle using their fingertips. Total War: Medieval II marks the second Total War port for mobile devices, with Rome: Total War and its expansions launching on Apple iPad in 2016 and mobile phones in 2018. Total War: Medieval II first launched on PC in November 2006, with a single expansion Kingdoms releasing the following August. GameSpot's Total War: Medieval II review praised its deep strategy elements, saying "'epic' doesn't quite begin to describe the scope and scale of the latest Total War game--there's a lot of strategic depth, with plenty of amazing combat to enjoy."
