During the Meta Quest Gaming Showcase today, Polyarc and Oculus Studios announced that Moss: Book II will be coming to Meta Quest 2 this summer.

The protagonist, Quill, made an appearance alongside Ruth Bram, executive producer at Oculus Studios, to share the announcement, while Polyarc debuted gameplay footage of Moss: Book II running on the Quest 2.

"One of the first things we heard when we launched Moss: Book II on PlayStation VR a few weeks ago was that the Quest 2 community wanted to play it, and we’re going to deliver on that in the very near future,” said Tam Armstrong, co-founder and CEO at Polyarc.

In the Quest 2 version, players will experience a different sense of immersion with a two-controller setup, which will allow environment manipulation, interactions with Quill, and a weapon inventory system during battle.

“Our goal from day one has been getting the Moss franchise onto as many headsets as possible. We want all VR players to have the opportunity to experience the joy of physical interaction and power of the emotional resonance we’ve been building into the worlds we create. We’re excited to share our game with more than ten million Quest 2 players around the world this summer.”

Moss Book: II, which is a direct sequel to Moss, launched on March 31 for PlayStation VR. While a Quest 2 release has been confirmed, owners can only currently add Moss: Book II to their wishlist, with preorders and the official release date yet to be announced.
