Minuette
So today I wanted to have a good match but suddenly these try-hards that are way above my teams skill ruined the game because they had 2 snipers covering 2 of our spawns and instantly got headshots, and were totally owning us, we never even had a chance (invasion slayer) also they were all friends so they kept voting for invasion slayer, the idea of this topic is to have a skill system were you are put to the test with other people with the same skills and to bring back the old veto map system. Do you think they should do this?
Unease Peanut
NOPE. Bring back the vote system for sure. The thing about being matched against entire teams of inherritors and stuff is true I also hate it when that happens.
VivaLebowski
Reach and 3's voting systems both had their advantages...so why not combine them? Give people 3 map options but instead of "none of the above" give a random game map option...that way, no matter what, your in game after 1 round of voting AND even though its not quite as random as 3's voting system, a bit more variety is introduced. I would also support seeing a return of Halo 3's rankings, only replace experience with credits.

If they bring back Halo 3's ranking, I will be disappointed. Halo 3's is a matchmaking system that only measures wins, encourages quitting, and just never worked for me ( I always got matched against people who would decimate my entire team). Halo Reach's measures skill instead of wins, encourages players to stick around instead of quitting, and just seems to get me fairer matches. Not a chance in hell that Reach measures Skill...no matter how much you suck you could hypothetically reach the highest rank with enough time invested...its just that simple. Sure, people who play the game more and are thus higher ranks are more likely to be actually good but even still, Reach does not directly measure skill. 3's does...and I'm not uber competitive, hell, I never even reached 50 in Halo 3, but nontheless Its important that at a certain level, ranks actually start to represent something, like "This player has reached a certain level of competency." VivaLebowski
On a further note...this player has REACHED a certain level of competency...HAH! man, I'm good. LOLercoaster right there. Just kidding. That joke sucked.
