The problem with the GI leak? The names!

The title is a bit of an exaggeration...of course there are some legitimate gameplay gripes to be had in the update BUT nonetheless I think a big part of what is ******** people off is the names.

 

For example, what pisses you off more? Credits? Or "Spartan Points"?

 

How about if it was "Special Optics" instead of "Forerunner vision"?

 

And perhaps the biggest..."Spartan Ops"?

 

Who knows if this will be what these things are named at launched but with the latest link, all the new materials nomenclature either falls under 1) CoD esque or 2) Clunky and Dumb. If these things were just named something more appropriate we would not be having the current (well justified) hissy fit that we are having!

Firefight makes Halo sound way more original than having it as "Spec Ops". With all that I just saw on that leak, I'll be keeping an open mind all the way. I'm not gonna judge anything too specifically until I see 343i truly deliver something to the table.

 

Regardless, I do trust and have confidence in them.

Yeah they need better names for spartan ops and as for spartan points why couldnt they keep credits it sounds better.

they can name it firefight ops or just fire ops

and the points could be named credit points or or just plain credits

They keep the credits from Reach, since that's actually the currency of the UNSC. They should change Spartan Ops and Forerunner Vision to something else, preferably a better sounding name. (Forerunner Vision? That's really the best that they could come up with?)

Even if there's a shred of truth in it - which I'm still not convinced of - everything at this stage is working titles, not the final product. They're probably called such odd names just so that the development team knows exactly what it is they're working on and there isn't any confusion as the 'official' names get chopped and changed.

What really ticks me off is "if this forerunner vision stuff" is true, it will be cheap, i hated it in blacklight tango down.

But seriously, you take Firefight...its basically Halo copying Horde Mode or CoD zombies, whatever you prefer...and theres absolutely nothing wrong with that. But what if it had been called "Legion"? Spartan Ops is about as similiar to Spec Ops,
