Iиversiσn
I would like to think that an MLG player is a player who is payed to play any sort of game, maybe even for a living. Yes, they would be trying very hard! MLG tournament prizes have exponentially grown since MLG was first invented, and are still growing as MLG is starting to arise in terms of popularity. I don't think that people would throw their money away for a plane ticket to travel without funding, or knowing that they will not win. The only people that do this, are people that are confident that they will find sponsors at that tournament, or people that think they have a great shot and a truly skilled, or just the regular MLG's that already have a professional team that is sponsored. Also, these players are not everyday players, they have more talent than the everyday player and they are more dedicated to the game. The everyday player might play about an hour a day, not use callouts, not use their microphone and not play to win. These guys use microphones, use strategy, use tactics, use callouts, and definitely play to win. I would also say that they do stress themselves and they do play about six hours a day. Your last point is true, you cannot go pro in a day. It takes time, practice, and patience to become good at a game. Some people aren't cut out for this type of thing, and even with practice they cannot improve to be at such a pro level. -MaGIIXz EDIT: Move to MLG section? And @MagIIxz, that's an everyday halo player, for an everyday halo MLG player, his positioning is off and he can't use teamwork, and also his shot isn't good, but it will improve in time, as the OP originally pointed out.
