Retail source leaks claimed promo image for CoD follow-up

The poster you see in the image below is claimed to be a retailer promo for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

Kotaku received the shot from "a retail source", showing a teaser poster that lacks a game title but has clear nods to Black Ops and a May 2 date that seemingly points to a reveal.

The single-player plot in Treyarch's 2010 title focused on a debriefing during which the player would relive key moments in the interview, uncovering a conspiracy as they progressed.

The image further supports multiple claims that this year's CoD title will be a sequel to Black Ops - and the first direct sequel from developer Treyarch.

Activision declined to comment on the image. --> information gathered from http://www.computera...r-image-leaked/

Honestly, i could care less for Black ops 2. The first black ops was complete failure, out of all the CoD's in my opinion. They release these games so much too. If they take time on developing, making graphics better, and putting more care into the game rather than milking it, i would buy it. If the game-play is good that is. We will have to see.

Another one? And so soon after the last? Holy guacamole. And this one's releasing in a week and a half? I gotta say, don't get your hopes up, people.

I mean, the reason Halo games take so long to develop is because they're developing AWESOME in disc format.

But hey, if BO is your thing, that's cool. :yes

-sigh- they have Bungie. :(

Why would they make this so soon? I also don't think the date on that poster is correct. They have not even advertised for the game at all. Dumb strategy if it is a legit poster and the dates are correct.

I'd rather play MoH over CoD.

I believe that the date on that poster is the date that some information will be released. It would be highly unlikely that was the release date.

It has been atleast 2 years since the first black ops was released? I dont see how that is considered "so soon since the last release"? If anything it has taken them longer than usual to make Bops 2. Its also not releasing until around christmas so ..........yea.

The CoD franchise releases a Cod basically every year off and on with Infinity Ward and TreyArch.

CoD in my opinion is one of the worst game series ever created but it is the most successful. Seriously, all CoD games were horrible. Except CoD4 that CoD game was AMAZING. From then on it went downhill to the max. I read somewhere that CoD MW2 and MW3 still use the same outdated engine as CoD4. They only edited the engine slightly for each game. I still do not see why CoD was so successful anyway. The only reason I can think of is that it appeals to 12 year old kids and it's easy to win the game so people like that.
