Supposed new details have come to light about Modern Warfare II's upcoming CODBall mode, and it sure seems to be taking a lot of inspiration from Psyonix's Rocket League.

Images posted online seen by Insider-Gaming show Call of Duty Operators riding ATVs in a colorful, futuristic soccer/football stadium, with the aim of pushing a ball into the other side's net. There is video footage reportedly of this mode floating around the internet, too, in case you want to see it in action.

CODBall will reportedly feature international soccer stars Neymar Jr. Pogba, and Messi, all of whom are coming to Modern Warfare II and Warzone in November as part of the Modern Warfare FC event. Neymar kicks things off when he arrives in the store on November 21, followed by Pogba (November 25) and Messi (November 29). These Operators will be playable outside of CODBall, too, it seems.

This is all happening presumably to capitalize on the wider hype surrounding soccer/football with the Men's World Cup in Qatar set to begin November 20.

The Modern Warfare FC event will also included a "Support Your Team Pick'em" minigame, and more details will be announced later.

Season 01 for Modern Warfare II and the recently released Warzone 2.0 arrived this week, shaking up the Call of Duty experience yet again. With the launch of Warzone 2.0 and its DMZ mode, the original Warzone is now offline--it will remain unplayable for at least 12 days.
