A good pair of headphones is an essential piece of hardware when you're looking to cut yourself off from the outside world, and along that line of thought, Sony's WH series is an industry leader. One of the best from an audio, comfort, and noise-canceling standpoint, the Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones are currently on sale at Amazon for $348 during Black Friday.

There's a lot of great technology packed into these cans, but it's the noise-canceling features that make them one of the best around. This iteration uses what Sony calls "Auto NC Optimizer" to automatically adjust the noise-canceling function based on your wearing conditions and environment, resulting in excellent audio isolation.

Beyond that, the headset itself has a lightweight design with soft leather, the new Integrated Processor V1 provides a sumptuous range of sound for your music-listening sessions, and its battery life can last up to 30 hours. If you're in a rush, you can easily grab a few hours of playback from just a few minutes of charging. The other big selling feature here is the selection of touch control settings that will allow you to pause, play, skip tracks, control volume, activate your voice assistant, and answer phone calls.

The Sony WH-1000XM5 is available in either black or white color schemes, but if the price tag is a bit too high for you, then the previous model is still worth garbing. For Black Friday, the WH-1000XM4 cans are just $228, which is still an excellent price for this level of audio engineering. If you don't mind cutting out a few features, you'll find that the older generation of Sony headsets still has plenty to offer.

Black Friday has a number of other deals on right now, if you're looking to upgrade your audio setup. You can click through here for the best Black Friday PS5 headset deals, or if you're looking for Microsoft gear, check out the best Black Friday Xbox headsets instead.
