Zuko 'Zarhamee
Just wondering what people would think of Brutes in Halo 4. I personally don't want them in the game. They just aren't as fun to fight as the Elites are.

Baby Boo
I don't know what is wrong with them. I'm thinking the opposite of you guys right now; brutes are really fun to fight. I don't know... Its just their tactical stupidity that makes them so fun!

So they are predictable. 5 points if you can name what book that is from
Baby Boo
Points for what? Anyway, I'd fight an army of brutes rather than elites or skirmishers anyday. I find them easy to fight
Mr Biggles
i never liked brutes, they are fat, ugly, and hard to kill, and i hate them, ive always seen them as seperate from the campaign, like, they shouldn't be therem but that's my opinion. RoosterTeethFan
Wow all this hate for Brutes i think elites are better but theres nothing wrong with Brutes Elites are just cooler smarter and have a cool history and culture. Brutes though are just dangerous.
DantheGangsta
I liked the brutes but i think that they should be even more over the top. IMO they shouldn't show up as often as the elites and shouldn't be as serious. I think they should just insta-rage when they get into combat and smash anything in their path (explosives) i think it would be hilarious and might be used for some pretty cool situations. RedStarRocket91
I actually prefer fighting Brutes to Elites. They feel more balanced as enemies as they work equally well both at range and up close, while Elites generally seem better at one or the other. Plus, they're bigger targets, so it's much easier to stick them and snipe them.
GamingMan
Truly I agree with the people that dont want them in halo 4 but I am more sided with brutes in. If the brutes are left out there would be a blank in the game the diffrence between Elites and brutes, that the stories merg together I personaly LOVED them in the past halo's they were a great addition to halo. At first i could tell if i likedthe brutes but once the story unfolded made sence and made me want the brutes more and more. I belive even the new graphix of the brutes would be amazing. In another topic, what about arbiter he is a Great part of the Elites he is the core of the elites and i was just thinking is he going to be in halo 4? Big Halo fan since Halo Combat evolved! WonderWombat
Well if the event of Glasslands hint at anything in Halo 4, then I'm guessing if there are any there will be very few. I'm guessing that the Covenant we are fighting in Halo 4 is Telcam's religious faction, and they either overthrew the Arbiter or they escaped Sanghelios. CandiBunni
Points for what? Anyway, I'd fight an army of brutes rather than elites or skirmishers anyday. I find them easy to fight Therein lies the problem that I've always had with Brutes. They are far too simple and easy of an enemy to kill and have little in the way of combat intelligence. More often than not they resort to simply firing their weapon, tossing a grenade, and on occasion moving left or right to dodge. Elites are far more fun because they present you with a challenge. Elites will sidestep, backpedal, dodge-roll, toss grenades at you when you're in weakened, in cover, or reloading. Brutes don't really do much of that I find. Brutes have always simply been bullet sponges and the least fun enemy to fight in the entire series since their introduction. While a little more fun in Halo: Reach for some reason, I'd still much rather fight Elites. When they introduced them in Halo: Reach and pretty much nearly removed Elites, that was a pretty bad decision in my eyes. In some developer commentary they said they had planned for the Brutes to only be in one or two missions of the campaign. I wish they had stuck with that. I've heard that in the fiction of the Halo Universe that the Brutes are supposed to be these massive, fear inspiring, deadly opponents that are capable of tearing you to pieces like no ones business. It's such a shame that they have never really been anything like that in the games.
