Ahead of its release next month, Warner Bros. Games and Avalanche Software have revealed some of the voice talent for Hogwarts Legacy. An open-world action-RPG set in the famous wizarding world, the cast includes Mission: Impossible and Cornetto film trilogy star Simon Pegg as Phineas Nigellus Black, the headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

In contrast to Albus Dumbledore, the great-great-grandfather of Sirius Black is described as being wildly ill-suited for the job, obsessed with his status in society, and is regarded as the most despised headmaster in Hogwarts history.

"He's not a good teacher or headmaster in any way, Pegg said in the Hogwarts Legacy video below. "I don't think he has any interest in children's education or being in any way a role model. What he wants is the kudos of being the headmaster of the greatest wizarding school in the world. He's just a bit of an idiot, really.

The rest of the cast announced includes Sebastian Croft and Amelia Gething playing the two voice options for the game's playable avatar, Lesley Nicol (Downton Abbey) as Professor Matilda Weasley, Kandace Caine (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II) as Professor Onai, Sohm Kapila (The Mummy) as Professor Satyavati Shah, and Jason Anthony (Marmaduke) as both Nearly Headless Nick and the Sorting Hat.

For more on Hogwarts Legacy before it releases on February 10 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S (PS4, Xbox One, and Switch versions will arrive later in the year), you can check out a video on advanced combat and the deep customization features available during your wizarding journey. While the game is set more than a century before the events of the main Harry Potter books written by JK Rowling, its progress has been overshadowed by transphobic comments made by the writer.
