This would be the largest opening for the franchise so far.This projection comes from a Deadline report, which cites industry sources. If the prediction is accurate, Quantumania will be the third biggest opening ever on Presidents' Day Weekend, behind Black Panther, at $241.1 million, and Deadpool, at $152.1 million. That would also be the biggest opening for the Ant-Man films generally, as Ant-Man opened at $57.2 million in 2015 and Ant-Man and the Wasp opened at $75.8 million in 2018. For the record, those are all US, not worldwide, figureThe leap in revenue makes sense, as Quantumania is the first Ant-Man movie to act as a tentpole for the MCU, launching the mega film franchise's fifth phase.
