343iBot
A new ad for PlayStation 5 was uploaded to the official PlayStation YouTube channel that may be hinting at a new adventure in the Uncharted franchise--one with a new, younger Drake as the protagonist. The "Live From PS5" ad shows live-action versions of multiple games in the PS5 library in a local news format. We see glimpses of Spider-Man, Aloy from Horizon, Kratos and Atreus from God of War, and many more. However, among the rapid-fire scenes shown toward the end of the video, a young girl is shown holding a torch in a dark cave, with a shiny object on a pedestal in front of her.Finding a PS5 should become easier starting this year. Sony has not officially commented on the rumors as of this writing. This new sequel, if it does exist, will likely not be developed by series creator Naughty Dog, with studio head Neil Druckmann saying the team was "done" with the franchise. However, Druckmann has also stated that he would be open to another team taking the reins, as long as they "get the essence of it right."This would not be the first time Sony has teased an upcoming release in this manner; as VGC points out, a symbol familiar to Resident Evil 4 fans appeared in a PlayStation ad in 2021, nine full months before Resident Evil 4 Remake was revealed in a PlayStation State Of Play presentation.Naughty Dog is certainly busy regardless of if it's involved with a new Uncharted game, as it's hard at work on a multiplayer game set in the world of The Last Of Us. Speaking of which, The Last Of Us on HBO Max is in the middle of its first season, and a second season has already been ordered.View the full article
