Fire
I recommend a Turtle Beach x31. It's what i use. Nearly completely wireless, game audio, only $80 from the official website, it's hard to go wrong.

The Director
I recommend Turtle Beaches as well. They have surround sound, a mic (with mute ability), and volume control for both game and chat Also, I have the X-11's, which while they have a lot of wires, are pretty durable and don't take batteries

MCPO Mayh3m
Get Steelseries, or if you can, Astro. If you are willing to pay a good price, go with one of those. However if you are looking to spend no more than $100, look at the Turtle Beach headsets.

Astros aren't bad either....a lil bit on the pricey side though.

SixWaysToSunday
Everyone seems to use fancy headsets. I just use the Xbox 360 wireless mic, it works for me. It works great for communication but I want to play the game sound through my headphones so im quieter for my family. Plus it allows for better sound whoring which can mean alot. SixWaysToSunday
If you get around to it, let me know what you think of them. I was just looking at a pair the other day, and was contemplating the purchase. Following up on a simple review. I like them, they are comfortable and do a great job. The sound quality is great and the ability to change Base, game volume, and chat volume is great. A few things: -the volume still comes out of the TV, so you have to mute it. -the mic is super sensitive and will pic up voices across the room. -the headphones do not contain sound very well, so if you have the volume up high anybody in the room can hear it. -the wires can be obnoxious and if your using the old white 360 your going to sacrifice a wired controller USB port. Even though it has those problems I really like it and would recommend it.

Vinyl Scratch
I don't have Turtles Beaches, but thats what I recommend. I was supposed to get a pair of x31 for Christmas, but mom happened. She thought I would spend even more time on xbox, as if I play too much as it is. I only play 2 hours a day, roughly.
