Mechanical keyboard company Drop has announced a new keyboard from its The Lord of the Rings line, and this one is pure evil. The "Black Speech keyboard," as it's called, is focused around the evil Sauron. As Drop said in a press release, this new keyboard helps fulfill the dark lord's wishes to make Black Speech the unifying language of Mordor, or something like that.

The keyboard features keycaps for Black Speech characters, so you can actually type things out in the fictional language created by J.R.R. Tolkien (or switch the caps to standard letters). Additionally, the keyboard itself is emblazoned with all manner of accents like the Eye of Sauron, the Shards of Narsil, and a Nazgul. Across the spacebar is the famous inscription from The One Ring.

Drop's new Black Speech keyboard was made in partnership with Middle-earth Enterprises, the company that controls the rights to the popular fantasy series.

A spokesperson for Middle-earth Enterprises said this is the "One keyboard to rule them all."

The Black Speech keyboard is on the way

The Black Speech keyboard is the latest Lord of the Rings mechanical keyboard from Drop, following the previous launches of Elvish and Dwarvish keyboards. The new keyboard is now available for preorder for $150, and orders should arrive by mid-April.

As for the Lord of the Rings series, Amazon's The Rings of Power is coming back for a second season, and there are a few upcoming games in the works, including The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, Return to Moria, and a game from effects studio Weta.
