The next year of Destiny 2 content kicks off on February 28 with the release of the game's next expansion, Lightfall. Before then, you can get a glimpse at what lies ahead with a vidoc from Bungie that sets the tone for the year ahead and beyond.

While Bungie has been sharing a lot of details recently on the technical and mechanical changes coming to Destiny 2 in Lightfall, vidocs are usually a short and punchy sizzle reel in comparison. This new vidoc from the studio provides a glimpse at the new Strand subclass, a look at Season of Defiance that starts alongside Lightfall, and hints at the future of Destiny 2 beyond the Light and Darkness saga.

In addition to that, there's a peek at the new Tormentors that you'll learn to fear when you encounter them. These are powerful servants of the Witness, hulking brutes that use Void energy to draw you into their grasp and drain the life from you. Even if you can survive this attack, these monsters hit hard and fast with a deadly scythe attack.
