It appears The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will receive DLC. However, Nintendo has yet to officially announced any post-launch support for the game.

The highly anticipated RPG's website contains a line of text at the bottom that states: "**Full version of game required to use DLC. Sold separately."

The website, however, does not seem to contain anything annotated with two asterisks. So it appears something is a little off here, and potentially that the website was updated prematurely. In any event, GameSpot has contacted Nintendo in an attempt to get more details.

That Tears of the Kingdom will get DLC isn't a surprise. After all, Breath of the Wild welcomed multiple expansions, including The Master Trials and The Champions' Ballad. Nintendo used the same exact language--"full version of game required to use DLC. Sold separately"--on the landing page for Breath of the Wild's expansions.

An exciting new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom premiered during the February Nintendo Direct, and you can watch it above. Nintendo also announced a $130 Collector's Edition and a new Link Amiibo, both of which will be available on May 12 alongside the game itself.

Preorders for Tears of the Kingdom are live now. It is the first Nintendo-published game to sell for $70, as Nintendo is following PlayStation and Xbox in raising prices by $10. Nintendo has clarified that not every one of its Switch games may cost $70, however.

In other Switch news, the system has sold more than 122 million units, making it the third best-selling console in the history of the world.
