Archangel Tyrael
Microsoft announced a Halo 4 live action series titled Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn today. UPDATE: In typical Frankie style he popped up on NeoGaf to answer some questions about Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn. Source Source Source Source ORIGINAL STORY: Microsoft have just announced a new live action mini-series will air this autumn in the run-up to the release of Halo 4. The series, titled Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn will be shown on Halo Waypoint and Machinima.com. Apparently this represents the largest investment Microsoft have yet made in a Halo live action project. Although it's not clear exactly how much they directly invested in the Halo Landfall series which was handled by Universal and Fox. Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn will chronicle the story of a cadet who is inspired by the exploits of the Master Chief and eventually goes on to become a leader aboard the UNSC infinity. The series will be made up of five episodes, each clocking in at 15 minutes so it's knocking on for feature length. Frank O'Connor described the web series as a "way for people to get onboard this universe without feeling intimidated". It's "an origins story that teaches you about a lot of different facets of the ('Halo') universe". Details of cast and director are as yet unknown, but Microsoft promise to give more details at ComicCon in July. This sounds absolutely brilliant, if it's a success we may see much more of Halo on both the big and small screens. Spyro
I am on the fence with this one. Half the time that they make video game into a movie, it just sucks. I hope they have someone who knows what they're doing. If they do then I'm with Kurt, can't wait!
