Darklarik
Not the one you put on your back, i mean the actual dam thing as a weapon! if they put a golf club im sure they could add a cool sword.
USDevilDog117
To be honest I would love to just have it on my back in the new game. Back swinging that baby around like an energy sword would be AWESOME.
Azaxx
I wouldnt like it as a weapon, just for looks, well maybe for custom games, but not campaign or matchmaking. Also can this be moved to the halo 4 forums?

DoctorB77
This should be moved. I also think it could be a "fun" energy sword. Like the golf club for gravity hammers. But i don't want it in matchmaking.
Smokin Shadowz
Keep it out of matchmaking, but leave it as a Armour accessory.
Anarchy
As Azaxx said, i would only like it for looks. Using it as a weapon is so "not halo."

fzdw11
Niether is using a giant gold club but hey, its in the last 2 games :/ It's in the games in a "fun" playlist, not meant to be taken seriously. If you did the same with this, then fine, but otherwise leave it out of regular matchmaking.

Spyro
No, that's all that I can say to that. Not being a hater, hate the haters, but yes it would be sorta fun to have in forge or custom games.
BLiX
That would be so cool i would so want them to put it in there
LORDLIDELL
I personally think that katana is a bad idea
Baby Boo
I simply do not think it would be a very good idea to make the katana into a weapon. It should simply stay as an unlockable armor piece, as it was and should be. I mean come on, it's halo, not... Mortal kombat.
BLiX
They should so put it in i would love it
Undead
I wouldn't really like it. Maybe for custom games but then again that would be weird. 343industries would have to make cool moves and assassinations with it in order for me to like it. haha

Anonymousnorris
Realistically a Katana would shatter if a spartan hit another spartan with it. I dislike the Japanese influence in Halo 3 that came with the Hayabusa and Katana, it seemed like a bad idea to me. I understand it somewhat appeals to the fanbase, but I don't think they should be doing things that don't fit into the Halo Universe. It is possible that there will be a forerunner melee weapon, possibly a sword, which would take the place of a Katana perfectly in my mind. That would be modern day - Future Katanas would be made using titanium or something
Anonymousnorris
That would be modern day - Future Katanas would be made using titanium or something Perhaps, but who knows if it would do that much damage when there's armor and shields in the way. Also, you couldn't duel with someone who has an energy sword, as the energy sword would simply cut through it. It would be more logical to focus on making better projectile weapons, rather than updating swords in a war where guns are used. Just saying

I like Halo's way of kepping things simple. 2 machines guns. 2 long ranged rifles. 2 sniper rifles. 2 bazzokas. ecs Beside, when im out there shooting my way out, i like to mix things up a little, a future katana of some sort would be awsome, better at least, then a giant gold club
