PlayStation 5 consoles are rarely discounted, but right now, you can grab not only the Sony console at a reduced rate but also an excellent game to play on it as well. Over on Amazon, the PS5 God of War: Ragnarok bundle is available for just $509 instead of its usual retail price of $560. You could view this as buying God of War: Ragnarok for a mere $9. This deal probably won't be available for long.

This particular bundle includes the regular PS5 console that has a built-in disc drive, so you'll be able to play both physical and digital games on it. Stock was originally hard to come by when the PS5 first launched, but with those issues sorted, now is a great time to acquire Sony's current-gen console. Thanks to several major firmware updates, the console user interface is friendlier and more efficient than ever, while the library of PS5 exclusive games has also increased considerably.

The PS5 has a number of other great features that make it feel like a next-gen device as well. The eye-catching design has sweeping curves, the internal SSD can reduce loading times for games by an absurd margin, and the included DualSense controller is capable of some of the most nuanced haptic feedback on the market. If you have a 4K TV, especially an OLED panel model, the PS5 shines on that display thanks to its HDR technology and fluid gameplay at up to 120fps.

It's also backwards compatible with PS4 games, so if you have a last-gen library or are interested in signing up for PS Plus Premium, you'll have plenty to play on the console. As for God of War: Ragnarok, that's bundled with the PS5 as a downloadable game, this new chapter in Kratos' journey is an epic slugfest across the realms that looks and feels terrific. One of the standout titles on PS5, Ragnarok is an action-packed adventure that's also great for when you want to show off your new purchase to your friends.

"Despite being a story about warring gods and the end of the world, the soul of the game is something far more sentimental," Tamoor Hussain wrote in GameSpot's God of War: Ragnarok review. "For every moment of brutality, there is one of genuine and relatable emotion. How they land will vary from person to person, but there were multiple that left me with tears welling up. If nothing else, God of War Ragnarok further cements Sony Santa Monica's narrative team as one of the best in the business."
