The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is arguably the biggest video game release of the year. You might even be taking off work or calling in sick this Friday to spend as much time in Hyrule as possible. But some people are already waiting in line to pick up the Switch exclusive.

Meet Alex "Captain Nintendo Dude" Pekala, a YouTube personality who's waiting 72 hours outside the Nintendo Store in New York City to purchase Tears of the Kingdom. According to Pekala's tweet, he started camping out for the release at 10 AM ET Tuesday, May 9, or 72 hours before he can pick up the game at the store. Nintendo Life also notes Pekala was first in line for the Nintendo Switch launch in 2017--along with Breath of the Wild.

In his latest YouTube vlog, Pekala revealed he isn't the first superfan already queued up for Tears of the Kingdom. According to Pekala, two men from Canada have already been waiting five days as of May 9, meaning they will ultimately be camping out for over a week to pick up Tears of the Kingdom.

Rest assured that these antics aren't necessary. Tears of the Kingdom will go live digitally at 9 PM PT on May 11, 12 AM ET on May 12. In fact, pre-loading has already begun for Link's newest adventure.

In the meantime, GameSpot has a Breath of the Wild recap video to prepare you for Tears of the Kingdom. In addition, Nintendo has finally confirmed Tears of the Kingdom will have dungeons.
