343iBot
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom King Gleeok secret boss is a gargantuan creature found in a secluded portion of the map. While most Gleeok monsters only focus on one element, this one has all three, and it'll use its full might against you. Funny enough, we've found a cheese method that should make this fight a breeze, pun intended, as you'll soon find out. Here's our guide that will help you beat the King Gleeok secret boss in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.King Gleeok locationTo find the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom King Gleeok secret boss, you'll have to reach the floating arena island in the southwestern corner of the sky world map. It's actually well above the Lightning Temple. That's no mean feat, since there are very few options available. We suggest heading to North Gerudo Sky Archipelago. There's a huge circular structure, sort of like a Death Star. Make your way there through various means. Then, once inside, use Ascend to reach the top of the structure. You may try out some Zonai Devices and combined contraptions. For instance, you can attach one Rocket at a time to a Hover Stone, as you make your way to the southwest.King Gleeok locationKing Gleeok abilitiesOnce you've reached the area, you'll see the massive King Gleeok flying around. As noted earlier, it has three heads, and each one uses a particular element: Shock, Fire, and Frost.Beware since, the moment it aggroes, it will cast all three beams simultaneously, likely killing Link due to the intense damage. Likewise, his other elemental breaths will have a debuff or slight AoE effect, which can still hit you if you're too close. How to cheese the King GleeokThe "normal" way to fight this thing is to use pillars for protection, all while aiming in mid-air to take shots. We'll do something like that, but with a twist.Anyway, when the fight starts, position yourself so you're at the northern portion of the island. You'll see a small rock formation. It's not exactly a pillar, but it will block the beams. We'll call this our "safe zone rock."This rock will keep you safe for the most part.To cheese the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom King Gleeok boss fight, you'll just need the following:Several Zonai FansA few Zonai SpringsA decent bow and a lot of arrowsFire Fruit, Ice Fruit, and Splash Fruit or Dazzle FruitIf you think you might be unprepared, you could wear cold-resistance gear, too. From here, we suggest dropping down one Fan. Make sure it's facing up, then smack it with your weapon. You should now have an easy way to get a wind current/updraft. Glide up, aim with your bow, attach different fruits, and start shooting the heads based on their weakness (i.e. shoot the fire head with an Ice Fruit, shoot the ice head with a Fire Fruit, and shoot the lightning head with Splash/Dazzle fruit).Once all three heads have been stunned, run up to the boss and wail away with your melee weapon. It should recover and recast its elemental breaths, but don't worry. You can simply reposition behind our "safe zone rock," and plop down another fan if need be. Repeat the same process as before until it's down to 40% HP.Ride the fan's updraft and do an aimed shot. Cycle between your elemental fruits as you shoot each head's weakness.King Gleeok phase 2At 40% HP, it will fly high up into the air, and you probably won't be able to reach it with a fan. Moreover, it will start spamming elemental strikes, such as lightning blasts and icicle drops, which will fall on your last location. These will create updrafts that you can ride. The problem is that there are too many projectiles, so you can get hit even as you're trying to glide up or sideways. For this part, we suggest doing the following:As soon as it flies away, plop down two Zonai Springs. Make sure they're upright, and attach them to each other.Hop on one, then do a jumping attack to activate it.This will give you a massive boost in verticality. At the top of your jump, aim with your bow to slow down time, and start shooting each head once more. You could even attach other materials, such as those with high fuse attack or Bomb Flowers.Plop down two springs and attach them to each other. Use them to do a super bounce, allowing you to have a better angle when doing an aimed shot. And that's it, with a bit of luck and patience, you should be able to beat the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom King Gleeok secret boss. For this ordeal, you'll receive a Sage's Will. Likewise, you can pick up numerous Gleeok materials, including those of different elements. This is but one secret boss that we've found while exploring, but there may be more. We'll let you know in any case. There are numerous mechanics and facets to learn in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
