The remaining games on the list are only available for Switch, including Knights of the Old Republic, The Force Unleashed, Republic Commando, Jedi Knight Academy, and more.In order to redeem their free game, users need to visit support.aspyr.com and "submit a request with your Nintendo Switch proof of purchase attached."The Restored Content DLC was a fan volunteer effort to mod missing KOTOR II content that was approved by Aspyr in 2015. Modder zbyl2--an original programmer who was part of the effort--took to the KOTOR subreddit (via Eurogamer) following the announcement to say, "Aspyr did nothing wrong. Quote me on that. Shame it ended the way it did."The modder explained to users who have been sharing their theories that the cancellation had nothing to do with "higher ups not wanting to give credit to the modding team," adding that Aspyr "was great to work with and they offered to credit the whole team long before I even asked about it."There have been issues with third-party Switch games recently, with Midnight Suns being canceled and Hogwarts Legacy being delayed multiple times.Aspyr is currently working on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake for PC and PS5. The game is reportedly two years away, according to parent company Embracer Group.View the full article
