Suda 51 and Grasshopper have announced a remastered edition of 2011's Shadows of the Damned is on the way.

The creative announcement trailer opens up with the community manager of Grasshopper Manufacture celebrating the anniversary of Shadows of the Damned. But before they can finish what they're saying, Garcia Hotspur (the game's protagonist) shoots up the office and shoots them out a window. That's followed by a montage of Hotspur shooting and killing demons while popping a sick wheelie on his bike. By the end of the trailer, Grasshopper Manufacture revealed that it's having a direct on June 14 - 15 on its official YouTube channel.

Shadows of the Damned was initially released in 2011 during the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 era. The game tells the story of Garcia Hotspur, a demon hunter sent to the City of the Damned and forced to battle hordes of demons to save the person he loves.

Shadows of the Damned was well received when it initially came out in 2011. In our review, we gave the game an 8.5, and Tom McShea wrote, "Shadows of the Damned takes 10 or so hours your first time through, and not one second of that time is wasted on boring activities. This is a tightly crafted adventure with a relentless sense of pace that continually pushes you forward."
