A little Halo story.

The Halo Universe is huge. It has a set future, but a history with a more than 500 year gap leaving us to build upon. This is just an idea, I don't have names or exact dates but I was wondering what people think and if I get good feed back, maybe I could make it a short story.

 

My idea follows, not a spartan, nor a soldier but a young lady. She was born on Earth to a rich ship building family producing star-ships since early human colonization in the 24th century (2310). The business was famous for their massive and beautifully built ships, flying rich customers in style and grace. Later, terrorist actions led to the destruction of three major production lines and taking hostage and destruction of over a dozen ships due to the business's close connections to the UNSC. That forced the business to start building smaller, less expensive ships to keep from going bankrupt. Not much later did the UNSC pay the business large amounts of money to convert their ships into large mobile hospitals. The Covenant raged and destroyed many planets and ships. That led to a long process of replacing. The ships became less and less grand. The young lady, she never knew a world with out the Covenant. The only time she saw her family business in might and glory was in old family records. During a recovery on Reach, her father and her fiancée died when a Covenant capital ship glassed the Business's representative tower in New Alexandria. In a state a irrationalness she orders a new ship be made.

 

She takes the fundings from the UNSC and puts them towards this ship, trying to relive the business's gold years of ship building in the memory of her father and fiancée. The UNSC where not very "happy" and in ONI records they have an assassination and cover up project they may have used if not they came to an agreement. The ship is to transport and rescue civilians from loyal colonies. The ship is sent on many missions and is successful in all giving it the nick name "reliable". During the battle of Earth she is equipped with weaponry and is forced into battle.

 

How will she end up? Well I myself am not that far yet. What do you think? and please provide some ideas or your own.

 

Edit: I got some names for the ships and "the lady"!

 

Her name shale be "Evangeline"

She also gets that name from the "UNSC Evangeline" A Frigate that sacrificed it's self to bide one of the business's ships enough time to escape into slip-space from the rebels. The ship's heroic actions saved thousands and Evangeline's mother who was pregnant with her at the time.

And then there is Evangeline's death wish. The ship, the ship worth billions, imported materials across all existing Human controlled space, washed and polished to perfection. The "HMS Britannic", named after the largest ship to sweep the seas during WWI, yes thats right, larger than even Titannic. Much like the ship over 600 years previous "HMS Britannic" was converted into a hospital ship. But when the UNSC took nearly full control of her Evangeline changed her name. Now, The "UNSC Undreamt-of Violence" (named after a survivors description on the actual Britannic sinking) will go to the front lines with Evangeline on-board.

Thanks guys. I just really wanted to create a little back story. I come up with a lot of stories and stuff like this. I just decided to share this one
