Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth is a new game set in the Blade Runner universe, and the moody trailer certainly evoked the feeling of the sci-fi franchise.The trailer didn't shed much light on gameplay, but it gave us a taste of how the new game will capture the tone and spirit of the films. Given the name, it's possible the story will fall between the original 1982 film--which was set in a futuristic 2019--and the more recent Blade Runner 2049, set decades later. A Steam page for 2033 is now live.Blade Runner received a game adaptation in 1997, as a point-and-click adventure game. That put you in the role of a titular Blade Runner, the special agents assigned to hunt down and retire (i.e. kill) Replicants--artificial humans who have gone rogue. It was mostly puzzle-based and included administering Voight-Kampff tests, the in-universe polygraph-like interrogation that proves someone is an authentic human.
