Archangel Tyrael Posted May 16, 2012 Report Share Posted May 16, 2012 CV suggests new IP from Fable dev LinkedIn, that ol' gushing fountain of leaks, has revealed Lionhead is working on a new RPG with MMO elements for Microsoft's next home console. A job ad spotted by Superannuation reveals the game will be based on a new intellectual property, instead of taking place in the Fable universe. "Opportunity to work on MMO like title for next generation consoles. AAA game and budget!," reads the ad. "This is to assist in the development of a major brand new IP that is being targeted for the future generation of platforms and will be an RPG based game with a radical new take on how co-operative and multiplayer gameplay feeds into the experience, while blending online and single player into one complete experience." Although the studio might be leaving Fable behind - at least for now - it looks like it won't be too big of a departure from its specialities. The job ad describes a "complex progression system, multiple routes through the campaign, and an MMO like multiplayer experience that will affect the outcome of the player experience, and many other attributes surrounding their profile (such as the environment and the outcome of certain actions)." Studio founder Peter Molyneux left Lionhead to form a new studio in March. The industry luminary said he felt he was being "suffocated creatively" and had to move on.
