A new Meta Quest headset is on the way later this year, but there's still plenty of life left in the current Quest 2 VR headset. For Prime Day 2023, Amazon has discounted the 128GB Quest 2 128GB model from $350 to $300, and the 256GB model from $400 to $350. As an added bonus, you'll also receive a $50 gift card that can be used for future purchases from Amazon.

The Quest 2 has been one of the more popular virtual reality headsets since it first launched in October 2020, and after several years on the market, it now has a sizable library of VR games and apps. This version of the headset features 3D positional audio, hand tracking, and haptic feedback in a wireless frame. Unlike other VR headsets, you won't need a PC or console to use it, and it has a built-in battery for when you want to roam around virtual reality. It also comes with two controllers for interacting in games and social spaces.

"The Oculus Quest is a special device. While it doesn't match up with the beefiest of VR-ready PCs, it's still able to compete with them in the experience it provides, thanks primarily to the wireless freedom it grants its user," Mat Paget wrote in GameSpot's Quest 2 review. "Playing a VR game without worrying about a cable or external sensors is liberating in a way that makes it significantly easier to lose yourself in an experience for hours--or at least until the battery dies."

Alternatively, if you own a PS5, the new PlayStation VR 2 headset is also on sale this week. Usually $600, Newegg is selling this headset for $528 this week.
