Ahead of its release in October, Assassin's Creed Mirage's developers have revealed that there are no plans "for now" to release DLC for the game. According to creative director Stephane Boudon, who responded to a fan question in a Reddit Ask Me Anything session, Mirage will be a standalone game.

"For now, Mirage has no plan for DLC or extensive post-launch," Boudon wrote.

This is something og a surprise move for Ubisoft, given its history of DLC-focused post-launch support for its games. Assassin's Creed Origins and Odyssey saw several expansions released that added more mythical elements to those games, while Assassin's Creed Valhalla had two years of DLC and live-season content that rolled out over the months.

In comparison, Assassin's Creed Mirage is positioning itself as a smaller and more self-contained experience, one that harkens back to the days of the Ezio era with its parkour systems and an emphasis on stealth.

If you have to have an extra experience in the game, you can always consider shelling out for an Assassin's Creed haptic feedback suit that'll make you feel like you're on the receiving end of several impactful forces. Assassin's Creed Mirage launches on October 12 for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One, and for more details, you can check out everything we know about Assassin's Creed Mirage.
