[GameSpot] - Destiny 2 Solstice 2023 Rewards: All The Weapons, Armor, And Exotics Available

Destiny 2's big four seasonal games provide some of the best-looking gear every year, but when it comes to Solstice, those rewards are both stylish and functional. The Event Card, which is unlocked at the start of Solstice, tasks you with completing several objectives that'll reward you with Solstice-related gear and resources, and can once again be upgraded to unlock exclusive items in the game.

This year's armor sets once again feature an option to handcraft them into armor pieces that have desired stats, so whether you're looking for a helmet that can help you reduce your Super cooldowns, gauntlets that amplify restorative effects, or chest armor that provides you with plenty of resilience, Solstice is the event to grind through for some of the best gear in Destiny 2.

On the weapons side, Solstice also introduces the first-ever Strand rocket launcher to the game world. Rocket launchers typically have the best DPS in Destiny 2, while Strand-energy weapons allow for a variety of beneficial effects that ties quite nicely into the subclass. Like other events, Solstice will have its own Event Card that you can upgrade to unlock rare gear. Alternatively, you can also pay to unlock a premium version of the Event Card, which offers several extra cosmetic items.

Crowning Duologue

The first-ever Strand rocket launcher, Crowning Duologue, will be added to the weapon pool in this year's Solstice. So far, datamining of Destiyn 2 has revealed that this rocket launcher is more of a novelty than a must-have weapon, as it doesn't have the most desirable of perks. It does have an eye-catching design that'll look great in your collection, if you don't mind a weapon that's all about style over substance.

Event Card premium unlocks

The Event Card will be unlocked at the start of Solstice, and while several rewards can be earned by playing Destiny 2, a few extra items can be instantly unlocked by purchasing the Premium Event Card. This will require spending 1,000 Silver, Destiny 2's premium currency, which works out to $10.

Event Card regular unlocks

The regular Event Card is a hub where you can keep track of your Solstice challenges, your progress toward obtaining the Event Seal, and which rewards you've unlocked. Completing tasks on this card will unlock event-related rewards, as well as Event Tickets that can be used to further upgrade the card and gain even more exclusive awards.
