Bandai Namco announced that the online servers for Gundam Evolution will shut down on November 29, only one year after its initial release.

"It is with great sadness that we are announcing the conclusion of Gundam Evolution," said executive producer Kazuya Maruyama in a statement on the game's website. "We wanted to create a title that brought FPS fans and Gundam fans together."

He continued, "We challenged ourselves to create an authentic Gundam FPS game that could be played globally. Unfortunately, we have determined that it is no longer possible for us to provide a service that satisfies our players."

While the game will be discontinued in November, Bandai Namco will still roll out Season 6, which includes a new unit and two maps, on August 23. The game's final season will launch on October 25 with another new unit and an additional map.

On July 26, all sales of EVO Coins, EC Pods, CAP Pods, and Ticket Pods will end. However, those who have already purchased the premium currency can still use them until the servers go down. After the ability to purchase closes, Bandai will also increase the opportunities that players have to unlock new suits, such as earning more Capital Points through login bonuses, events, and campaigns.

Gundam Evolution was first released in September 2022 for PC. The console versions, which include PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, launched later in November 2022. The game is currently in its fifth season, titled "Storm."
