The DualSense controller is one of the more interesting gamepads on the market thanks to its unique haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. But if you want a PS5 controller with offset sticks and a few different unique features, the Razer Wolverine V2 Pro is worth considering. Its $250 retail price is a bit high, but right now you can grab the pro-style controller for $195 at Amazon. This is the first time we've seen a meaningful discount on the Wolverine V2 Pro since launching last year.

It's important to note that the $195 price is being offered by a highly rated third-party seller on Amazon. If you'd rather purchase directly from Amazon, you check the "other sellers" section and add it to your cart for $218.56--this price would have been the best deal yet if a third-party seller hadn't dropped the controller's price even lower. The controller is eligible for Prime shipping if you buy directly from Amazon. These prices are only available for the white model; the black edition is still $250.

The Wolverine V2 Pro has just about everything you could ask for in a modern controller. Its premium finish fits in with the current PS5 aesthetic. It has lots of customizable buttons, including four rear triggers and two extra shoulder buttons, all of which are remappable.

Like other Razer Wolverine controllers, it has Mecha-Tactile face and shoulder buttons that shorten actuation distance. They sound and feel like clicking a mouse. The eight-way D-pad utilizes microswitches for precise and quick inputs. You can also lock the triggers to reduce travel distance.

This makes for a controller that's great for competitive environments, and with added touches like durable textured grips, a fast wireless connection via the included USB dongle, a wired connection with the lengthy, braided USB cable, and interchangeable thumbsticks, it's worth considering at this price.

As an added bonus, it works on PC as well in both wired and wireless modes.

It's worth noting you lose a few of the DualSense's key features by opting for Razer's controller. The Wolverine V2 Pro doesn't have haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, or a built-in speaker. This is the same story for the other third-party PS5 controller, the modular Victrix Pro BFG (also worth looking into). If you want those features in a pro-style controller, you'll have to go for PlayStation's DualSense Edge.

Alternatively, if you'd just like a regular DualSense but with a bit more flair to its design, preorders for the $80 Marvel's Spider-Man DualSense controller are now live.
