As it gets closer to its September release date, another trailer has gone live for Mortal Kombat 1 and shows a few familiar faces in action. Debuting at EVO 2023, NetherRealm's new look at the game has confirmed that Reptile, Havik, and Ashrah will be playable characters in Mortal Kombat 1.

Like several other characters who have been reimagined, the latest roster additions all have new roles within the New Era timeline and Reptile has undergone a significant transformation. Usually an animalistic minion of greater forces, Reptile--or Syzoth--is an outcast who appears to have allied himself with Liu Kang and several other Earthrealm warriors against an unknown threat.

This version of Reptile is still a seasoned warrior, but one who is far less savage when compared to previous incarnations and can shapeshift between his forms to deliver punishing attacks. Another new face is Havik, the infamous Chaosrealm cleric who first debuted in Mortal Kombat: Deception and will literally disarm himself to get an edge in battle. The Kameo fighter Sareena joins him in this trailer, a warrior who first debuted in Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero.

Ashrah is another demonic fighter who can trace her roots back to Mortal Kombat: Deception and she wields a number of weapons that have been imbued with angelic power. Lastly, Stryker pops up to assist players as a Kameo fighter, bringing with him an arsenal of guns and explosives to help even the odds. These are just a few of the characters revealed so far, as Sektor, Cyrax, and Geras were recently confirmed, while DLC characters include Omni-Man, Peacemaker, Homelander, and Ermac.

Mortal Kombat 1 launches on September 19 for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch.
