343iBot
Localization company Altagram has committed to crediting its staff for working on Baldur's Gate 3 and future games from now on--which it received flak for not doing on Baldur's Gate 3 thus far. This comes after Baldur's Gate 3 developer Larian Studios said that staff that were left out of the game's credits would be added in a future patch."We take full responsibility for the omission of our freelancers' names and apologize for the effects that it had," Altagram said in a statement. "We are learning from this experience and are reviewing the failures of our internal processes regarding credits."Altagram continued, "We would like to thank Larian for allowing us to quickly fix that error and update the credits section. The names of the Brazilian Portuguese translators will be included in an upcoming patch to the game."A Statement from Altagram Group (1/2) pic.twitter.com/jeUYb9bSlc — Altagram (@Altagram_Group) August 10, 2023Larian Studios told Eurogamer that Altagram initially didn't provide a list of staff, but has since reached out to see that the crediting issue is rectified. Larian also said that the changes will come in time for Baldur's Gate 3's for Patch 1. Back in June, others noticed that Altagram didn't credit German freelance translators for Diablo IV, either, and the company issued a statement saying it was "truly sorry."Baldur's Gate 3 has taken over on Steam since its PC release on August 3. On August 6, the game accounted for a staggering nearly 28% of total player time on Steam, and the game has passed 800,000 concurrent players. Baldur's Gate 3 is set to release on PS5 on September 6, with an Xbox version planned for later.View the full article
