343iBot
As it does each month, Microsoft removes titles from the Xbox Game Pass library. The next wave of removals has now been announced, and there are six titles headed out on August 31.As announced in an Xbox blog post, Microsoft is removing titles across console, PC, and the cloud at the end of the month. The games heading out include Black Desert, Commandos 3 - HD Remasters, Immortality, Nuclear Throne, Surgeon Simulator 2, and Tinykin. Immortality, released in 2022, was highly acclaimed, so it's a notable loss to the library. As usual, Game Pass members save 20% on all games when buying them outright, so that's a silver lining for anyone who wants to keep playing any of these titles when they leave the catalog. In terms of titles being added to Game Pass in the final few weeks of August, these include Everspace 2 (August 15), Firewatch (August 17), and day-one new releases The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (August 18), and Sea of Stars (August 29). Microsoft also confirmed that Gris is coming on September 5. That's one day before Microsoft's biggest game this year, Starfield, launches on September 6.Microsoft recently raised Game Pass prices, increasing the standard console membership to $11/month and the Ultimate membership to $17/month. PC Game Pass is still $10/month. A new offering called Xbox Game Pass Core will launch in September.Leaving Game Pass On August 31Black Desert -- console and cloudCommandos 3 - HD Remaster -- console, PC, cloudImmortality -- console, PC, cloudNuclear Throne -- console, PC, cloudSurgeon Simulator 2 -- console, PC, cloudTinykin -- console, PC, cloudView the full article
