343iBot
Like several other first-party PlayStation games, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will feature several accessibility options, including a gameplay option to slow down time. In the PlayStation Store FAQ for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 (and spotted by Angie on ResetEra), the page revealed that the feature will allow for gameplay to be slowed down in increments of 30%, 50%, and 70%, and regular speed can be resumed at any time."Insomniac Games has devised a range of new and in-depth accessibility features to create a Marvel's Spider-Man 2 experience without barriers," the page reads. "Building on the accessibility improvements in previous titles, these features allow the game to be enjoyed by more players of different abilities."The ability to slow down time isn't a new feature, as Insomniac had previously introduced this function in Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, alongside several other accessibility options. Several of Sony's biggest games have made impressive strides in accessibility, allowing players to customize their session with dozens of tweaks to gameplay, graphics, and audio. Sony is also launching the PlayStation Access controller in December, and preorders for it are now live. The full suite of Spider-Man 2 accessibility features hasn't been revealed yet, but as the game gets closer to its October 20 release date on PS5, those options will likely be confirmed closer to launch.
