The game doesn't have any native versions for the current generation of consoles yet, so this rating suggests that this might change soon. However, the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game are playable via backwards compatibility on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, respectively.GameSpot has reached out to Microsoft for more information.Minecraft for Xbox Series has been rated in Germany (USK).There is currently no native Xbox Series X or S version of the game. He stated that Sony didn't send Microsoft any development kits of PlayStation 5 ahead of the console's launch in 2020.Since the rating only mentions an Xbox Series X|S version and doesn't include a PS5 version, it's possible that Microsoft has only worked on a native version for its own console while unable to work on a PS5 one due to the lack of development kits.The latest entry in the Minecraft franchise is Minecraft Legends, a real-time strategy game.
