Minuette
So I was again.... wondering, should 343i put Vehicle realism in the game? like a perfectly fine warthog has great suspension and goes fast and a broken up warthog would have almost no suspension lets say you drove off as cliff and hit the ground, the warthog won't start going again after a few seconds when its damage but a perfectly fine one does, and this is leading to vehicle people who just love driving a warthog won't be in it for much longer so people don't get angry cause the hemorage camping is stupid, you have a slim possiblility of winning when you got campers but with vehicle realism, you can get beating on a vehicle until it starts getting weaker and useless like a wraith would start shooting in random directions and the tanks canopy would be bumpy making it slower. So who thinks Vehicle realism should be in Halo 4?
Trevor
This sounds like a very good idea, I would like Vehicle Realism but I don't know how 343 would react to something so simple as this right away. Maybe it will be in the game, maybe it won't. I guess we will just have to see.
DerpWithAGun
Great idea! It would be cool if you shoot the back of the warthog and it only damages the back, shoot front and only front breaks, it would also be cool if you could pop the warthog tires if you shoot them with a strong weapon like Sniper Rifle and Railgun but not DMR or BR. Ryu♥Hayabusa
I think it'd be nice, but it could ruin certain gametypes. Having invincible vehicles wouldn't fix some of those said gametypes either. More settings would have to be added.
Mr Biggles
Great idea! Definitely on board with this.
Veer Zamamai
I think it should be involved in Halo 4. They need to experiment with new things to see if they make good things to use in future releases. It would make the game more realistic without taking the Halo out of Halo. Bighungry2x
I think it is a good idea, but I dont think i would want it in some gametypes... Only because in gametypes where there are limited vehicles, it is nice to actually get a warthog every once in a while. And if it gets destroyed like right away, that would blow. Or if you have a teammate that is mad cause he didnt get a seat in the warthog and throws a grenade at it and now your warthog is slow... Or in other "just for fun" game types where you just ram the vehicles into each other, if they start slowing down and stalling or something, it kind of ruins the fun. RedStarRocket91
I'm kind of against this, for two main reasons. The first is that generally, if you capture an opponent's vehicle, it'll take some damage in the process. So, for example, if you toss a 'nade at it and then kill the driver, although you've done all the hard work in actually getting the thing, you get penalised whilst they didn't have any problems. This creates an awkward situation where, in attempting to capture vehicles, players are going to have to avoid trying to damage the thing, which is very unfair. The second is that Spartans don't suffer any penalties for suffering damage - a Spartan with a single remaining point of Health is just as agile, accurate, and powerful as one without any damage whatsoever. Put simply, this would need to change as well, as there shouldn't be a double standard for vehicles and infantry. That said, this could potentially make for fun Custom Game types, if you can spawn vehicles in pre-damaged or whatever, so I wouldn't mind it being included there. I just don't think it should be in Matchmaking.
a live dinosaur
Beautiful idea, but all I really care about is the Ghost blowing up like in Halo 3. That was AWESOME. On topic, yes, I think that would be great, even though I got my first Rampage in a Gauss Hog on BTB Heavies.
