Season 1 of The Expanse: A Telltale Series has reached its midway point with the release of Episode 3, First Ones, which is out now. With only two episodes left to go (plus an additional DLC episode starring fan-favorite Chrisjen Avasarala set to release later this fall), tension is rising, and Episode 3 is where players will truly start to see the long-term consequences of their actions in previous episodes.

Episode 3 sees the trail of breadcrumbs Drummer began following in Episode 1 lead her and her crewmates to a mysterious, seemingly abandoned station that was created for an unclear--but undoubtedly nefarious--purpose. As Drummer, players must navigate the station, locate and analyze clues, and keep in contact with other members of the crew.

Depending on choices made in previous episodes, First Ones can easily come to a tragic and catastrophic end. With this in mind, players will want to take the time to consider each and every option presented to them--almost every choice matters in Telltale's latest narrative adventure, so players aiming for an ideal outcome will want to leave no stone unturned and no codex entry unread. The game is full of environmental context clues that can make difficult decisions a little easier, so thorough exploration is key.

Episode 4 of The Expanse: A Telltale Series is set to release in two weeks on Thursday, September 7, with the fifth and final episode becoming available two weeks after that, on Thursday, September 21. The launch date for the sixth DLC episode has not yet been announced.

The Expanse: A Telltale Series is available now for PlayStation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
