Starfield director Todd Howard has apparently been given the chance to go somewhere very few people on our planet can go: space. But he's declined that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity so far.

Asked about traveling to space, Howard told GQ he's "been offered in the past." He added, "I think it would be amazing, but... maybe when I'm older." So maybe Howard, who's 53, is waiting until retirement to travel to the final frontier?

If that is the case, then it will apparently be a while. Howard actually opened up about retiring at Gamescom, saying it's a "long, long way off." He also revealed that The Elder Scrolls 6 already has a codename. Oh, and on top of that, Howard is an executive producer on the upcoming Indiana Jones game from Machine Games as well.

But for now, Starfield is at the forefront of everyone's minds. The space-faring RPG will be one of the biggest Xbox first-party games in years. Bethesda's Pete Hines recently advised Starfield players to "not ignore your activities" in the upcoming game.
