A new listing for Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition has appeared, suggesting that the game will be coming to new platforms soon.

According to the Electronic Software Ratings Board, Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition will be coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S.

"This is an action-adventure game in which players assume the role of a reporter accompanied by a pig-like companion investigating a conspiracy on the planet of Hillys. From a third-person perspective, players explore fantasy locations, take photos of evidence, solve puzzles, and fight robot and alien enemies," reads the rating's description.

The summary goes on to explain that the game has fast-paced combat and players can use a variety of melee weapons like staffs and torches to fight enemies with.

Ubisoft hasn't officially revealed Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition yet but given that the game was originally released in 2003, an announcement seems imminent. It first launched on PC, PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube, and the original Xbox. In 2011, it was ported to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Ubisoft is currently working on a sequel, Beyond Good & Evil 2, but it's seemingly in development hell as substantial updates on the game have been rare. Original creative director Michel Ancel left the project in 2020 and his replacement Emile Morel passed away unexpectedly in July.

In GameSpot's Beyond Good & Evil review, we said, "It may be short enough to rent and complete in a day or two, but fans of action adventure games will find enough to love in the game's overall design to make it worth purchasing."
